The 18th Annual Heart of Indiana United Way / Madison County Chamber Golf Classic, presented by Community Hospital Anderson, was held on July 18, 2025, at Anderson Country Club and raised more than $57,000 to benefit the local community. With 40+ teams, over 30 sponsors, and dozens of volunteers, the event was a major success—this year with a special twist to honor United Way’s 100th Anniversary.
New this year was the addition of the 100-Foot Putt Contest, celebrating Heart of Indiana United Way’s 100th anniversary. The crowd-favorite 50/50 Golf Ball Drop, sponsored by Harrah’s Hoosier Park returned for its 11th year. This year’s winner, the City of Anderson, generously donated its winnings of $1,322 back to the cause—amplifying the impact even further.
Proceeds from the Golf Classic help support local programs backed by the Heart of Indiana United Way and the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, which are building a stronger, more resilient Madison County for individuals, families and businesses.
These include United Way’s THRIVE Network, which provides personalized coaching and financial resources for individuals working hard yet struggling to make ends meet, as well as Read and Achieve programs that help children succeed in school and life through community-based literacy efforts. The Chamber’s work in business development, networking, and connecting businesses to local resources is also supported through this event.
