Community Resilience
At Heart of Indiana United Way, we believe every community deserves the opportunity to thrive—not just in good times, but in times of crisis too.
That’s why we work alongside our neighbors, nonprofit partners, and local leaders to build stronger, more resilient communities.
Our community resilience efforts focus on:
-
Strengthening the Nonprofit Network – We support and connect local organizations so they can serve more effectively, share resources, and respond quickly when needs arise.
-
Disaster Response and Recovery – When emergencies happen, we coordinate with community partners to deliver immediate relief and long-term support.
-
Basic Needs Access – From food and housing to transportation and essential services, we help ensure people can connect to the supports they need—when they need them.
-
Collaboration and Community Voice – We bring people together to identify shared challenges, lift up lived experiences, and co-create solutions that work for everyone.
Together, we’re making our communities more connected, supportive, and prepared—so that every person, in every neighborhood, has the chance to recover, rebuild, and thrive.
