Partners in Purpose Strengthens Connections Across Henry County

Partners in Purpose recently brought together nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and funders from across Henry County for an evening centered on collaboration, connection, and community impact. Hosted in partnership with Henry County Community Foundation and Henry County REMC, the event created meaningful opportunities for conversation around philanthropy and the evolving needs of local organizations.

The goal of Partners in Purpose was simple but impactful: strengthen relationships between nonprofits and funders while fostering a deeper understanding of the many ways philanthropy supports our communities. Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about funding priorities, grant cycles, and the growing needs nonprofits are facing throughout the region.

Heart of Indiana United Way board member, and Henry County REMC Chief Financial Officer, Amber Houser shared, “The vision of the Partners In Purpose event was multi-level. We wanted to build a bridge between local non-profit organizations and support organizations like Heart of Indiana United Way, Henry County Community Foundation, and Operation Round Up. The support organizations spent a few minutes educating the guests on the work they do and how to apply for financial support, but the highlight of the evening was hearing from our local non-profits and learning about the amazing work they do in our community.”

That spirit of connection and shared learning was evident throughout the evening. Events like Partners in Purpose are vital in helping organizations better understand available resources while also giving funders and community partners a clearer picture of the incredible work happening every day across Henry County.

The evening also highlighted the depth of generosity and community investment that exists throughout the region. From nonprofits addressing critical community needs to organizations committed to supporting long-term impact, the event served as a reminder that meaningful change happens when people and organizations come together with a shared purpose.

We are grateful to everyone who participated and contributed to these important conversations. Through continued partnership and collaboration, we can strengthen our communities and create lasting impact for the future.
