We focus on the most important human needs by building partnerships, forging consensus, fostering collaboration, and leveraging resources. We believe in a system of caring built from the rich diversity and gifts of all people, so every community can reach their full potential.

WHAT DOES HEART OF INDIANA UNITED WAY DO?

Heart of Indiana United Way mobilizes communities to close gaps and open opportunities so all can thrive.

With deep local roots, across Delaware, Madison, Henry, Randolph, and Fayette Counties, we see how challenges like—preparing children for success in school and life, achieving financial stability, and helping build resilience by meeting basic needs—are all interconnected. We bring people and resources together to address root causes, transform lives, and create lasting change.

That’s why we’re here. In the communities we serve, we are always ready to listen and always ready to respond. Working side-by-side with neighbors, partners, donors, volunteers, and community leaders, we address local needs with innovative solutions.

HOW IS HEART OF INDIANA UNITED WAY CONNECTED TO THE WORLDWIDE UNITED WAY ORGANIZATION?

We are an independent and self-governed 501(C)3 and a member of the United Way Worldwide network. We meet annual membership requirements and receive support from the worldwide network in the form of training, national advertising, public policy and the ability to draw on the “best practices” of United Ways throughout the world.

WHAT AREAS DOES HEART OF INDIANA UNITED WAY SERVE?

We serve five counties in Indiana including Delaware, Fayette, Henry, Madison, and Randolph counties.
