Join us in celebrating 100 Years of impact by taking part in our 100th Birthday Challenge!
  1. Record a Happy Birthday Video & Share It
    1. Gather your team to record a fun “Happy 100th Birthday!” message for United Way
    2. Post it on social media and tag @HeartofIndianaUnitedWay or send it to us to share!
  2. Send an Email to Staff Highlighting United Way’s Impact
    1. Share a special email with employees explaining why United Way matters and encourage them to donate.
    2. Include a testimonial or impact story about how United Way changes lives.
  3. Host a Birthday-Themed Fundraiser for United Way
    1. Cupcakes for a Cause – Sell treats with proceeds supporting United Way.
    2. Jeans for Generosity – Employees donate to wear casual clothes for a day.
    3. United Way Birthday Party – Host a celebration with a donation challenge.
  4. Share a Throwback Memory or Story of Your Workplace’s Support for United Way
    1. Post on social media or email your staff or United Way a story or photo from past workplace campaigns.
    2. Highlight why supporting United Way is part of your company’s culture.
  5. Run a Special Workplace Giving Incentive
    1. Offer a special birthday match or incentive (e.g., “Donate $100+ and get entered
      to win a prize!”
      ).
    2. Recognize employees who participate in payroll giving for United Way.
  6. Promote United Way’s Work on Social Media
    1. Dedicate a social media post to United Way’s 100th anniversary.
    2. Use hashtag #Next100United and encourage employees to share their own posts.
  7. Challenge Another Workplace to Join the 100th Birthday Challenge
    1. Call out a business partner, competitor, or industry peer to take part!
    2. Tag them in a social post or send them an email encouraging them to join.
  8. Participate in a Special United Way Volunteer Opportunity or Drive
    1. Engage employees in a team volunteer event for United Way.
      1. Pack literacy kits for kids
      2. Host a donation drive (diapers, food, hygiene items, etc.)
      3. Join a hands-on service project like Day or Action or Day of Caring
  9. Feature a United Way Story in Your Internal Newsletter or Meeting
    1. Share an inspiring story about someone helped by United Way.
    2. Invite a United Way rep to speak at a staff meeting about your company’s impact.
  10. Host a Final Giving or Celebration Day Before the Deadline
    1. Plan a fun day to wrap up the challenge and encourage last-minute participation.
      1. Coffee & Donuts for Donors – Celebrate employees who give.
      2. Final Fundraising Push – Encourage last-day donations or pledges.

Workplaces that complete ALL 10 activities by 1-31-26 will receive:
