Every child deserves the joy of books\, and this event helps provide free books to children every month\, fostering a love of reading from the very start.\nFor $31.20\, a child in our five-county region can receive a new book each month for a year through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.\nThe State of Indiana previously covered half the cost\, with Heart of Indiana United Way funding the rest. While DPIL was removed from the state’s last budget\, a public/private partnership initiative led by Indiana’s First Lady has extended that match through the end of 2026. This effort has been vital to keeping books coming to children across the state. However\, funding beyond 2026 remains uncertain—and even with the current match\, local organizations like ours must continue to raise substantial funds each year to meet our share of the cost as enrollment grows.\nHow it worksForget traditional bingo-this is bingo with a beat!
